Parishes with dynamic youth ministry are guided by the US Bishops document Renewing the Vision which provides a vision for comprehensive youth ministry. At St. Henry we strive to meet the following goals set by this document by working together through youth ministry and faith formation.
According to Renewing the Vision there are three goals for ministry with adolescents, which are as follows:
- Goal 1: To empower young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today.
- Goal 2: To draw young people to responsible participation in the life, mission, and work of the Catholic faith community.
- Goal 3: To foster the total personal and spiritual growth of each young person.
Meeting these goals requires the engagement of the entire parish! Our Coordinator of Youth Ministry, Dustin Samford invites you to join him, and the many already involved, in ministry to our youth. Contact him to find out more.
You are invited to read more about youth ministry and the eight components that guide our ministry to youth through youth ministry and faith formation.
Providing a safe environment for children at St. Henry is our highest priority. Everyone involved in faith formation and youth ministries, or volunteering on site when children are present, must complete VIRTUS training and a background check online.
