"The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent, and believe in the gospel” (Mark 1:15)
"Those who approach the sacrament of Penance obtain pardon from God’s mercy for the offense committed against him, and are, at the same time, reconciled with the Church which they have wounded by their sins and which by charity, by example, and by prayer labors for their conversion." Catechism of the Catholic Church 1422
Confessions are heard on Saturdays, 3:45 - 4:45 pm
Adults who have been away from reconciliation and would like more information can find pamphlets on the column near the east entrance in the vestibule or are welcome to make an appointment with Fr. First Reconciliation and First Communion
Preparation for First Reconciliation and First Communion for children is a two year program that involves parents and the child's family. We hope to accompany parents as you prepare your children to receive these life changing sacraments. Many parents today don't feel adequately formed in their own faith so as we meet for parent sessions and family workshops we hope to strengthen the foundation of faith for the entire family. Children in 1st or 2nd grade can attend Year 1 First Reconciliation and First Communion Preparation. Once they complete the first year they can attend Year 2 First Communion Preparation and will celebrate First Reconciliation and First Communion that year.
RCIC (Rite of Christian Initiation for Children) is offered for children/ youth in 3rd – 11th grade who have not been baptized.
Sacrament Class is offered for children/youth in 3rd - 11th grade who are baptized but have not celebrated the Sacraments of Reconciliation or Eucharist.
RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) is offered for adults to receive these sacraments.
Please contact the parish office for more information about RCIC, Sacrament class and RCIA.
